Every XSOURCE piece is built from real, solid wood — no plastic veneers pretending to be timber. Here's exactly what goes into each product, so you know what you're bringing home.

Both-Side Pre-Laminated Engineered Wood (MDF)

A dense, stable engineered wood laminated on both faces for a smooth, moisture-resistant finish. Used across our desk accessories, kids' furniture, drawing boards, height charts, and pet houses where a rigid, warp-resistant panel is needed.

Russian Birch Ply Wood

A premium multi-layer birch plywood prized for its strength-to-weight ratio and smooth finish. Used in our number blocks, monitor stands, car food trays, and compact pet houses.

Seasoned Pine Wood

Kiln-dried before cutting to pull out excess moisture, so it resists the warping and cracking green wood is prone to. Used in our climbing ladders, wall shelves, wooden toys, and wall hangers. Finished with double-boiled flaxseed oil — a natural, non-toxic polish safe for hands and, where relevant, food contact.

Old Burmese Teak Wood

A dense, naturally durable hardwood that ages into a richer tone with daily use. Used in our decor statues, cat scratching posts, cat bridges, pet bowl stands, and premium wall hangers. Finished with double-boiled flaxseed oil for a natural, non-toxic protective coat.

Both-Side Veneer-Laminated Wooden Ply

A lightweight, smooth-edged ply built for products that need to be gentle in small hands. Used in our lacing toys and shape-sorting toys.

New Zealand Pine Sheet

A virgin pine sheet, light and easy to personalise. Used in our name tags and select phone stand finishes.

Natural Rubber Wood

A dense, food-safe hardwood harvested only after a rubber tree's latex-tapping years are complete, so nothing goes to waste. Used in our chopping boards and roti trays, finished with a food-safe double-boiled flaxseed oil.
